About Us: The history of Mountain House is deeply tied to meals. In response to a request from the military during the Vietnam Conflict for food that tasted better and lasted longer, we immediately began producing freeze-dried food as Long Range Patrol rations for the military. Ever since then, we have been providing food for the United States Special Forces and other branches of the military.
